(MOUNT HOOD, Ore.) - Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Search & Rescue teams are responding to the Government Cama area of Mount Hood in search of a 18 to 19 year-old woman who is reportedly pinned under a large rock.
The boulder is described to weigh at least one ton, with the patient in shock, Sheriff's Office Spokesman Jim Strovink said.
He says the location of this rescue effort is at McNeil Point, in the Government Camp area of Mount Hood.
A reporting party had walked out and reported this female to be pinned under a large boulder weighing approximately one ton.
Strovink says travel time will slow crews headed to the scene, "The informant required an hour and half traveling time on foot to report this incident to the Clackamas County Dispatch Center."
He says the patient is reportedly off the trail, three quarters of a mile up the river basin in an area where the trail has been washed out.
A detailed location is sketchy at this point in time he said. American Medical Response Reach and Treat crews are summoned and moving to the scene.
