This is Concepcion's second time receiving this honor.
(SALEM, Ore.) - MaPS Credit Union named Barbara "Bobbie" Concepcion Stellar Teller for her outstanding performance in April 2007 at MaPS South Salem Branch. Concepcion had a high member service score and perfect balancing record. This distinction honors the top teller among MaPS seven branches.
According to South Salem Branch Manager Traci Kendall, "In addition to Bobbie's great technical work, she provides our members with superior member service! She knows a lot of our members by name and is always looking for ways to enhance their memberships."
Concepcion says she is grateful for the wonderful relationships she has built not only with members but also with her co-workers. "At the South Salem branch," she said, "we are not just co-workers, we are a family. Our bond makes us all stronger."
This is Concepcion's second time receiving this honor; she was first named Stellar Teller in July 2006. Bobbie has been with MaPS for nearly two years. Before joining MaPS, she worked for the Hong Kong & Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd. in Saipan for three years.
Bobbie, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ben Concepcion of Saipan, currently lives in Salem with her family. She is studying speech and language pathology at Chemeketa Community College with the goal of transferring to Western Oregon University to complete her education.
MaPS was formed in 1935 as a teachers' credit union and has expanded to include a number of local businesses that have no access to a credit union.
MaPS' branches are located in east, west, south and central Salem, Keizer, the Willamette University campus, and Monmouth. An eighth branch is under construction in Woodburn.
The credit union also instructs students and operates three non-profit student branches as school-to-work labs for high school business courses at North Salem, West Salem and McKay high schools.
