OSP Seeking Vehicle, Driver Related to Missing Moscow, Idaho Man

Police have suspended the search for 62-year-old John Dickinson.

(THE DALLES) - The Oregon State Police is requesting the public's assistance in identifying the operator of a vehicle that may have been involved in a series of events related to a missing Moscow, Idaho man.

The vehicle police are attempting to identify would have been traveling westbound on I-84 near the John Day River on 01-07-07 at approximately 5:55 PM.

The vehicle would have been carrying a plastic dog kennel that fell onto the roadway.

Police ask anyone with information that could help identify the driver of this vehicle to contact Trooper Preston at the Oregon State Police -- The Dalles Patrol Office at 541-296-9646 or the 24-Hour dispatch number (800) 452-7888.

Police also request anyone who stopped to help at the crash scene also contact Trooper Preston at one of the above listed numbers.

62-year-old John Dickinson on Jan. 7th, stopped to help another driver when a third vehicle crashed into Dickinson's car.

Police said Dickinson may have jumped over a rail to avoid the crash, not knowing that the John Day River was below.
