Oregon State Police and Springfield Police Department have been conducting the investigation into Franklin since August 1st.
(OAKRIDGE) - Oregon State Police arrested the owner of Oakridge Chapel of the Woods Funeral Home Monday evening related to an investigation into allegations that she was cashing in funeral-expense insurance policies for clients.
On Tuesday, 39-year-old Carolyn Ruth Franklin, aka: Carolyn Hardman, from Springfield, was taken into custody without incident at her home.
Franklin is logged in the Lane County Jail on five counts of Theft in the First Degree and five counts of Forgery in the First Degree (5 counts).
The bail in this particular case involving 39-year-old Carolyn Ruth Franklin is set at $400,000.00.
Police believe it is possible that there are more victims out there who may wich to come forward after learning of Ms. Franklin's arrest.
