(SALEM) - Did you know that one of Harry Houdini's escape records was beaten by a guy from Salem? Jaskson Rayne, a former student at Willamette University, set the record more than two years ago, when he was chained from head to toe, locked in a coffin and submerged into a pool.
With more chains holding him in, Jackson still beat the old record established by Houdini more than 75-years ago.
Today Jackson performs for large audiences in places like Los Angeles and Palm Springs. He has just returned from traveling abroad performing in a Las Vegas based 'Dick Foster Production' of 'Spellbound' in the Phillipines at
the Araneta Coliseum in Manila, where the 'Thrilla from Manila' fight was held.
Jackson Rayne is represented by his vice president of operations, John Strauch of Salem, Oregon. He has been video taping Jackson's performances for a number of years, and brings us the first in a series of videos featuring the talented performing magician. John can be reached by e-mail at john@majesticvideoandphoto.com
