Record temperatures send many to the water for relief, but without the proper safety devices
(OREGON CITY) - Clackamas County Sheriff's Office Marine Rescue and The Clackamas County Water Rescue Consortium are on scene actively searching the lake, and say that four girls, ages 12, 13 and two 17-year olds, were wading in the water about 100 yards from the shore with no life jackets, and waded into a deep hole.
A boater came to the aid of the four girls. The 13-year old was rescued and provided medical attention on shore and transported by AMR to the Mt Hood Medical Center.
Unfortunately, the 12-year old is still missing and divers are working in the area to find her.
The Clackamas County Water Rescue Consortium is comprised of many of the police and fire agencies in Clackamas County. Clackamas Fire District #1, Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Gladstone Fire, Lake Oswego Fire Department, Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue and Life Flight Network are diligently working this mission at Roslyn Lake.
