Vancouver Police are canceling the attempt to locate for Nelya F. Nikolaychuk and her six children after they were located safe with relatives in Minnesota.

ORIGINAL RELEASE:

Vancouver Police are attempting to locate a 44-year old woman and her six children, who have been missing since 2:00 p.m. on November 5th, 2009.

Sgt S. Creager with the Vancouver Police Major Crimes Unit, says Nelya F Nikolaychuk is believed to have her 6 children with her. The children range in age from 2 years to 12-years old.

Mrs. Nikolaychuk is described as a white female, five foot three, 160 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes.

"She and her children were reported missing by a family member on 11-6-2009. Police are also trying to locate Mrs. Nikolaychuk's vehicle - a 2005 Kia Sedona mini-van, tan in color, Washington license plate - 563YIC," Creager said.

"Mrs. Nikolaychuk was reported to possibly be traveling to Minnesota. Law enforcement agencies along her likely route and at her reported destination have been notified, however the vehicle or Mrs. Nikiloychuk have yet to be located. Detectives with the Major Crimes Unit continue to investigate the circumstances of the disappearance."

Creager says anybody with information regarding this family is asked to call 911 or Detective Darren McShea, Vancouver Police Department (360) 487-7431.
